'Walking in time and swaying in the magic of historical days Made everyone excited and gay' One of the much-awaited events, English Day, was celebrated on July 26, 2023, for classes IV to XI. The enthusiastic participants made the vibrant audience walk down the memory lane showcasing the history of English through enticing presentations. The magic of the Anglo-Saxon Period was spread through Chaucer's unforgettable contribution to language. The play 'The Tragedy of Dr. Faustus' shook the audience with dreary dances of monsters and bold baritones of the characters belonging to the Renaissance Period. A rendezvous with the writers of Neo- Classical period like John Milton and Daniel Defoe made the audience understand the different shades of writing of their time. Wordsworth and Keats entranced everyone with their mellifluous melodies and pioneering poems written in the Romantic Period. The soulful drama depiction of 'A Christmas Carol' captured the essence of the Victorian Period. The mime on A Doll's House by Henrik Ibsen" created a visually stunning and emotionally charged experience that marked the era of The Modern Period. The Contemporary Period projected different issues and explored themes that are relevant in the present scenario. An enchanting musical performance filled the audience with a kaleidoscope of emotions.
