National Sports Day

The National Sports Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm today, August 29, 2024 at Sagar Public School, Katara Extension to commemorate the birth anniversary of Hockey Legend Major Dhyanchand. The Chief Guest for the event was Mr Aamir Ahmed, an International Hockey player, posted in the Department of Public Instruction. The event began with an inspiring address by Madam Principal, emphasizing the importance of sports in fostering teamwork, discipline, and perseverance. The students showcased their talents with captivating performances in judo, zumba, and yoga, demonstrating their physical prowess and dedication to fitness. The deserving students were felicitated with scholarships (cash prizes) for their outstanding performances in CBSE competitions and SGFI Competitions held during the academic session 2023-24. The Chief Guest further motivated the students, encouraging them to pursue excellence in both academics and athletics. The day concluded with cheers and applause, leaving everyone inspired and eager for the next sports season.
