“Mathematics came alive beyond numbers and notebooks as our school buzzed with exciting and joyful maths activities.” Mathematics Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm for students of Classes III to VIII to commemorate the birth anniversary of the legendary mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan. The celebration aimed to highlight the beauty, logic, and importance of Mathematics in a fun and engaging manner. Various age-appropriate activities were meticulously planned and conducted by the teachers, keeping in mind the level of understanding of each class. The activities encouraged logical thinking, problem-solving skills, creativity, and teamwork, making learning both enjoyable and meaningful. Students participated with excitement and curiosity, turning numbers, shapes, and puzzles into moments of joy and discovery.

Talk Over Cookies held for the Sagarites of Class VIII @SPSKE

Guided by Mahatma Gandhi’s words, “A nation’s culture resides in the hearts and souls of its people,” our school participated in the cultural exchange programme ‘Talk over Cookies’ on 19 December 2025 with Icon Public School, Ahilyanagar, Maharashtra. The programme brought together 12 enthusiastic students of Class VIII from Bhopal and Maharashtra. Students engaged in lively discussions, sharing interesting facts about the wildlife and cultural diversity of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. Thoughtful questions and interactive exchanges helped them gain deeper insights into each other’s regions. The initiative successfully promoted communication, teamwork, and cultural appreciation, leaving students enriched with new perspectives and stronger bonds.

Sagarites of SPSKE attended an ASPIRE Session on Accountancy by CA Dr. G.S. Grewal @SPSGN

An enriching Aspire Session on Accountancy was conducted for the students of Commerce of Class XI and XII at SPS GN, on 18-12-2025 led by the renowned author and educator CA Dr. G. S. Grewal. The session proved to be highly informative and motivating, as students gained a deeper understanding of important accountancy concepts explained in a simple and practical manner. Mr. Grewal guided students on how to approach the question paper confidently and systematically. He shared easy and effective techniques to present answers, manage time during examinations, and avoid common mistakes. Special emphasis was laid on understanding the logic behind concepts which helped students feel more confident about the subject. Overall, the Aspire Session was extremely beneficial and inspiring. It clarified doubts, strengthened conceptual clarity, and equipped students with practical exam-oriented strategies, leaving them more confident and motivated to excel in Accountancy.

An enriching ASPIRE Session was conducted today at Sagar Public School, Katara Extension for the students of Classes VII & VIII, by Retired Surgeon Commander Dr. Hariom Gupta. The session focused on the vital role of nutrition and physical fitness in enhancing students’ academic performance and overall well-being. Dr. Gupta shared valuable insights on maintaining a balanced diet, developing healthy lifestyle habits, and understanding the strong connection between physical health and mental alertness. His real-life experiences and practical examples kept the students engaged and motivated. The session was highly informative and inspiring, leaving students with a deeper understanding of how disciplined habits, fitness, and proper nutrition contribute to success both in academics and in life.

Maths Quest, an Inter-House Maths Quiz Competition held @SPSKE

“Math is not just about numbers — it’s about reasoning, rhythm, and revelation.” Today, an exciting Interhouse Mathematics Quiz – Math Quest was conducted for Classes VI to VIII, where all four houses showcased their logical brilliance and problem-solving skills. The competition was filled with enthusiasm, quick thinking, and healthy rivalry as participants battled it out through challenging rounds of puzzles, reasoning, and mental math. Vivekanand House emerged as the champion, securing the First Position, while Gandhi House claimed the Second Position with remarkable performance. Congratulations to all participants for their active involvement and commendable team spirit! Object Talk Competition held for the tiny tots of Class Nursery @SPSKE

“When little minds speak, big ideas bloom!” Our tiny tots of Class Nursery participated enthusiastically in the Object Talk Competition held on October 8th, 2025. With adorable confidence, our little speakers came forward to talk about their favourite objects — from cuddly toys and colourful fruits to books and shapes! Each child spoke a few lines, sharing their thoughts with innocence and joy, leaving everyone smiling and proud. "Stories are the secret reservoirs of values, changemakers of the world." Little Sagarites of Class I, Sagar Public School, Katara Extension showcased their sparkling creativity in the "Spin a Yarn - Story Weaving Competition" held on Oct 8, 2025. Students narrated fun and imaginative stories around their favourite soft toys - be it a cuddly teddy, a fluffy bunny or a lovely doll. In just one minute, these tiny tots wove magical tales of adventures, friendship and dreams. Kudos to all participants for showcasing creativity and confidence. अंतर सदनीय रस-भाव मंचन प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन @सागर पब्लिक स्कूल कटारा एक्सटेंशन

रसभाव से सराबोर हुआ वातावरण, सागर पब्लिक स्कूल, कटारा एक्सटेंशन का आयोजन \r\nभोपाल सागर पब्लिक स्कूल कटारा एक्सटेंशन में रस की धारा बह रही थी। कक्षा 9 और 10 के विद्यार्थियों ने नृत्य नाटिकाओं के माध्यम से विभिन्न रसों की भावाभिव्यक्ति की।\r\nकृष्ण ने माखन चुराने के बाद भी यशोदा मैया से झूठ बोला। सारी गोपियां बालकृष्ण की शिकायत लेकर यशोदा मैया के पास पहुंचीं। यशोदा मैया ने झूठी झिड़की देकर बालकृष्ण को डांटा। वात्सल्य का अदभुत संयोग इस नृत्य नाटिका में दिखाई दिया। वहीं, कृष्ण के वियोग में उद्धव के ज्ञान के अभिमान को तोड़ती गोपियों ने वियोग शृंगार को प्रस्तुत किया। ऑरबिन्दो सदन की इस प्रस्तुति ने सभी का मन मोह लिया। गांधी सदन ने भक्ति और अदभुत रस की अपनी प्रस्तुति में रावणके शिव तांडव की स्तुति और उसके अहंकार को तोड़ने के भावों की अभिव्यक्ति की। टैगोर सदन ने यशोधरा के बुद्ध से बिछोह के बाद उनकी व्यथा का मार्मिक चित्रण और बुद्ध के बुद्धत्व को करुण और शांत रस के रूप में प्रस्तुत किया।\r\nवहीं, विवेकानंद सदन के विद्यार्थियों ने वीर और रौद्र रस की प्रस्तुति में अहिल्याबाई होलकर के जीवन संघर्ष को दर्शाया।\r\nविद्यालय के हिंदी_संस्कृत विभाग द्वारा आयोजित अंतर सदनीय रस-भाव मंचन प्रतियोगिता में समस्त विद्यार्थियों ने बढ़- चढ़कर भाग लिया। इस प्रतियोगिता में नाटक, नृत्य और संगीत ने समां बांध दिया। कार्यक्रम में विद्यालय समूह की निदेशिका जयश्री कंवर और प्राचार्या प्राची वर्मा मैम की गरिमामयी उपस्थिति विद्यार्थियों के लिए प्रेरणास्रोत रहे।\r\n प्रस्तुत हैं इस प्रतियोगिता की कुछ रंगारंग झलकियाॅं-

Opening Ceremony of Sagar Sports Spectacle 2k25 @SPSKE

Sagar Sports Spectacle 2k25 commenced today, 7th October 2025, at Sagar Public School, Katara Extension, with exuberance and grandeur. The occasion was graced by Mr. Vikas Kharadkar, Assistant Director of Sports, Government of Madhya Pradesh, as the esteemed Chief Guest. Bringing together over 1000 young athletes from 65 schools, the championship marks the beginning of an extraordinary celebration of speed, skill, and teamwork. As the two-day sporting extravaganza unfolds, the spirit of excellence and sportsmanship radiates brightly across the skating rink and futsal arena of SPS Katara Extension. “Education achieves its true purpose when parents and teachers work in unison to nurture the potential of every child.” The Parent Teacher Meeting (PTM-III) for the academic session 2025 was held on Saturday, 4th October 2025 at Sagar Public School, Katara Extension for all classes from Nursery to XII. The meeting provided an effective platform for interaction between parents and teachers to review the academic progress, co-scholastic performance, and overall development of the students. There was an encouraging turnout of parents, reflecting their commitment to their wards’ growth.
