National Sports Day was celebrated @SPSKE
Sagar Public School Katara Extension celebrated National Sports Day with great enthusiasm. The event was graced by the presence of Ms. Babita Tomar as the Chief Guest. Ms Tomar is an International Judo player, Commonwealth Medalist, recipient of the prestigious Vikram Award, and presently serving as the District Sports Officer in Bhopal. Her presence not only inspired the students but also motivated them to pursue excellence in both sports and performing arts with equal zeal. On this occasion, achievers of CBSE and SGFI Sports Competitions were felicitated for their outstanding performances and dedication. Along with sports achievers, students who excelled in the field of performing arts were also honored with cash prizes for their remarkable achievements in Kala Utsav and Bal Rang. The event continued with the display of various asanas of our Yoga students, followed by Judo and Zumba showcasing a variety of sports performances that highlighted the spirit of fitness, teamwork, and discipline among students. SPS Katara Extension proudly hosted MathsMarathon2K25!
"Mathematics is not about numbers, equations, computations, or algorithms; it is about understanding." – William Paul Thurston. Sagar Public School, Katara Extension, proudly hosted the Inter-School Maths Marathon on 23rd August 2025, celebrating analytical thinking and problem-solving excellence. The event commenced with a graceful Lamp Lighting Ceremony, attended by the esteemed Chief Guest Dr. Sandeep Diwakar (associated with the Azim Premji Foundation since 2012), our respected Dean Dr. Madhubala Ma’am, and Principal Prachi Verma Ma’am. A total of 21 enthusiastic teams showcased their brilliance, tackling challenging problems involving numbers (√, π, ∑, ∆) and logical reasoning. After several thrilling rounds, Sagar Public School, Katara Extension clinched the Winner’s Trophy along with a cheque of ₹12,000. The Runner-Up position was bagged by Jawaharlal Nehru School, whose team was awarded the Runner-Up Trophy and a cheque of ₹9,000. This event was not just a competition; it was a celebration of the joy of numbers, the spirit of healthy competition, and the drive for intellectual growth among young learners. An ASPIRE visit was organised for the Sagarites of SPSKE @NLIU
Campus Immersion at NLIU Bhopal – A Step Towards Law as a Career. On 19th August, 30 students from Classes X–XII of SPS Katara Extension visited the National Law Institute University (NLIU), Bhopal under the ASPIRE VISIT. The visit began with an interaction in classrooms, followed by a tour of the unique brain-shaped library built with natural light. Students were amazed by its vast digital resources of over 1 million e-books and 1 billion journals. They then explored the sports complex, which offered indoor games like badminton, snooker, and gymnasium, along with outdoor facilities such as a lawn tennis court. At the Convention Centre, they admired trophies and awards won by NLIU students. The tour concluded with hostel and guest house visits. The clean, green and vibrant campus left a lasting impression, motivating students to dream big and consider law as a future career.

Inter-School Open Tennis Tournament 2025 concluded on a high note @SPSKE
The Inter-School Open Tennis Championship 2025 concluded on a high note, celebrating not just champions but the relentless zeal, discipline, and camaraderie displayed by every participant. Over the course of this electrifying tournament, young players from various schools showcased incredible talent and sportsmanship, inspiring everyone present. \r\nChampions across the different categories are: Girls – Under-17 Category - Winner: Kashvi Thukral – Delhi Public School, Neelbad. An ASPIRE Session by Dr. Priya Sharma from SMH @SPSKE
On 8th August 2025, a highly informative and interactive session was conducted for classes IV, V and VI, on the topic "Keeping Yourself Safe During the Monsoon Season." The session was taken by Dr. Priya Sharma, Consultant – Pediatrics Services (MBBS, MD) at Sagar Multispeciality Hospital. Dr. Sharma spoke extensively about various health precautions that children and adults should take during the monsoon season. The session ended with an engaging Q&A round where students actively participated and got their doubts clarified. Overall, it was an enriching and eye-opening session that helped students understand how simple lifestyle and hygiene practices can go a long way in keeping them safe and healthy during the monsoon.

Bagless Day observed by classes III-V @SPSKE
The young Sagarites at Sagar Public School Katara Extension, on August 8, 2025, observed a Bagless Day in school. It was a joyful and enriching experience for these young minds!\r\nThe classrooms lit up alive with a lot of fun-filled, activity-based learning across all subjects. From hands-on experiments to interactive games, from synonyms and antonyms to punctuation punches, to creative art integration, to learning Sanghya Sarvanam in Hindi— our students explored concepts in the most exciting ways possible! On 31st July 2025, Sagar Public School, Katara Extension organized a Career Counselling Session for students of Classes XI and XII, in collaboration with Toprankers. The session was conducted by Mr. Avinashi Sharan, Director at Toprankers, an IIM-A alumnus and renowned career expert who has mentored over 50,000 students nationwide. Mr. Sharan offered deep insights into career opportunities after Class 12, with a special focus on competitive exams like IPM and CLAT. Today SPSKE buzzed with excitement as we welcomed a special cleanliness session by Nursing team from Sagar Multispeciality Hospital headed by Ms Violet Chatterjee the Deputy Nursing Superintendent. The session was designed to empower our young learners with the knowledge of hygiene, particularly the crucial act of handwashing. Parent Pulse held for Classes VI & VII
As part of our continued effort to strengthen the school-home partnership, an engaging Parent Pulse Programme was conducted for the parents of Classes VI and VII, today, 19 July, 2025. A major part of the session was dedicated to crucial topics such as emotional regulation and mental health of students; addressing behavioural concerns at home and school; identifying and managing adolescence issues; exploring different parenting styles and their influence; enhancing parent-child communication strategies; and building a nurturing and supportive environment for children’s growth.Parents actively engaged in discussions, shared experiences, and gained practical tips to support their child’s journey—emotionally, socially, and academically. Foundation Day and Investiture Ceremony
Sagar Public School, Katara Extension celebrated its Foundation day along with the much-awaited Investiture Ceremony on 1st of July, 2025. The event was graced by the Chief guest, Col Narendra Ola. The ceremony began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. The highlight of the ceremony was the administration of the oath of office to the elected student council members. The Chief Guest gave away the badges to the student council office bearers. Meritorious students of Classes XI and XII were felicitated for their outstanding results in the 2024-25 session. The program also featured a classical dance performance and a melodious song by the school choir. The Foundation Day and Investiture Ceremony fostered a sense of community, responsibility and environmental consciousness that will continue to resonate in the hearts of the audience present there.
