Parents Orientation 2023

"Education is a shared commitment between dedicated teachers, motivated students and enthusiastic parents with high expectations." With the aim of familiarizing the new parents with the School Systems, a Parents' Orientation Session was conducted at SPSKE on March 16, 2023. The Session began with the traditional Lamp Lighting Ceremony. The Session was initiated by Principal Madam, Ms. Prachi Varma wherein she gave a brief introduction about the Sagar Group and the philosophy of SPS. The parents of classes I to IX were acquainted with the School Systems and Assessment policy. Montessori System was introduced to the parents of Nursery - K.G.II. The Session ended with an Open House wherein the parents' concerns and issues were addressed. The Orientation Session provided a wonderful opportunity to the school to welcome the new parents and their wards into the SPS Family.

2nd Annual Sports Meet

" SPS has never spared an effort in encouraging sports among students " On the 3rd of December, SPSKE hosted its 2nd Annual Sports Meet, a day filled with fervour and excitement experienced amidst thrills, shrills and cheers. The chief guest for the day was the Secretary Swimming association, a former national player of Swimming, Mr. Ram Kumar Khilrani. The day started off with a lovely rendition by the choir followed by the arrival of the mascot of Khelo India-Asha. This was followed by the Inter-House March Past, a highly competitive event where the four houses marched in a contingent with alertness and unspoken coordination. The displays made way for the highly awaited athletic events where competitiveness among the students soared through the roof. At the end of the day, students departed with clear smiles on their faces as the Tagore House emerged to be Sports Champions and Aurobindo house bagged the overall championship. It was a day filled with sportsmanship, enthusiasm and memories to cherish. The Principal congratulated the Sports department for the successful event and advised the children to keep up their sportsman spirit.

Republic Day Celebration

Republic Day Celebration. It is the same India which has withstood the shocks of centuries, of hundreds of foreign invasions of hundreds of upheavals of manners and customs. It is the same land which stands firmer than any rock in the world, with its undying vigor, indestructible life. Its life is of the same nature as the soul, without beginning and without end, immortal; and we are the children of such a country. With this feeling the students and staff of SPS KE celebrated 74th Republic Day on Jan 26, 2023. To exhibit the spirit of nationality, the national flag was unfurled by respected Principal madam. A cultural program was presented by the young and dynamic Sagarites. A skit was performed depicting the importance of Republic Day; how the constitution of India was constructed and operates. The program culminated with an enlightening speech by Principal madam, cultural dance highlighting the gallant life of Prithviraj Chauhan and distribution of refreshment packets.

Vasant Panchami

Vasant Panchami is a festival dedicated to the goddess Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge, language, music, and all the arts. The season and festival also celebrate the agricultural fields' ripening with the yellow flowers of the mustard crop, which are associated with Saraswati's favourite colour. To mark the advent of the spring season and to worship Saraswati Ji, the Goddess of knowledge and wisdom, the young enthusiasts of classes Nursery to III celebrated "Blooming Spring" on January 25, 2023, with full festivity. They began the day by praying and offering yellow flowers to Goddess Saraswati, the Divine Benefactor of Knowledge and Wisdom. Dressed in yellow clothes, they welcomed the spring season, marked by Basant Panchmi, and celebrated by savouring yellow-coloured food for lunch. They sang the Saraswati Vandana and received Prasad. The day was enlightened by the blessings of Maa Saraswati.

Samay Yatra

Prize to akshat on time travel Akshat Malviya, a student of class 9 of Sagar Public School Katara Hills Extension has been awarded on his poem "Time-Travel". The award was awarded at the Bhopal Literature Festival organized by Manjula Prakashan Bhopal on 15 January 2023. In the prize, he was awarded Rs 5000/-, books published by the institution and manifesto. On this occasion in Abhirang of Bharat Bhavan, Akshat also recited his poem Samay Yatra. Notable that the Bhopal Literature Festival is a prestigious event, which lasted for three days. BLF has been organizing this literature program for the past five years. On the second day of the program, famous film actor Kabir Bedi's book was also released. Sagar family congratulates Akshat on this occasion and wishes him all the best for his future literary journey.

The National Youth Day

"Yoga is the fountain of youth. You're only as young as your spine is flexible." -Bob Harper The National Youth Day is celebrated on January 12 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. It was celebrated in the School with large mass of students performing Surya Namaskar together and inculcating the importance of practice of Yoga in life, a roadway to keep your mind and body healthy. This session was organized for classes VI to VIII on National Youth Day. Students were made aware of the importance of yoga in daily life.

Maths Day 2022

“Numbers do speak”! Ramanujan To commemorate the contributions of Srinivasa Ramanujan in the history of Mathematics, National Mathematics Day was celebrated at SPSKE with fervor and vivacity. Learning Mathematics by Hands-On Activities was the major highlight of the celebration. The day was marked by Cultural programmes, followed by Maths exhibition put up by students of classes III – V. The students made different models both still as well as working models. Enthusiastic Sagarites enthralled the audience with their intriguing models, charts and stallsand were appreciated for their eye to detail and vigour explanation of the nuances of maths in a very simple yet effective manner. To enhance the thinking and math problem solving skills of the young Sagarites, plethora of virtual activities were planned by the teachers for the students of classes VI – VIII. Students of classes IX and X explained the Mathematical concepts through powerful Power point presentations. Mathematical atmosphere was adored by all. The day was concluded by inspiring and enlightening words of the honourable Madam Principal. Have a look!

Christmas Celebration 2022

The dawn of winter marks the arrival of the eve of Christmas. Christmas is a time of celebration and a great opportunity to teach children some important values. The students of classes Nursery to III had an absolutely wonderful and unforgettable Christmas celebration. The essence of the day came alive when everybody shared the merriment of giving, sharing, and coming together. Children joyously decorated the Christmas tree and presented a skit along with Christmas carols and dance, followed by a Santa Claus dance. They learned that Christmas is not just about receiving and exchanging gifts and decorating houses; it also imparts the message of loving, caring, sharing, and showing compassion towards the less fortunate. Me and My Family

Family engagement plays a vital role in a child's overall growth. Recognizing the role of parents and the wider family in shaping child's life experiences, SPSKE organized Me and My Family event for classes Nursery to ll on November 5, 2022. The event featured some funfilled competitions providing children and their guardians a platform to demonstrate their talent and apply their skills. Various recreational activities were a major part of the event and developed life skills while having a great time.It was indeed rewarding to witness parents and children participating with much enthusiasm and vigour. The day came alive with some rejoicing moments wherein children with their family members clicked selfies and captured their best moments.The event concluded with the prize distribution and thanksgiving ceremony.

Dussehra Celebration

"When you witness the burning effigy of Ravana, remember that all your worries and anxieties will burn with it and pave the way for happiness and excitement in your life and those around you." With ardour and fervour Sagarities celebrated the triumph of Lord Ram over Evil. The event commenced with focusing on the significance of Dussehra festival . Celebration potrayed various pageant of Ram's exile, Sita's abduction and finally Ram's victory over evil Ravana. This epic spiritual celebration filled the quadrangle with cheers and applauds. It was concluded with an idea " There is no denying that there is evil in this world but the light will always conquer the darkness."

Grand Parents Day, 17 Sep 22

On September 17, 2022, the blooming buds of classes Nursery to KG-II at Sagar Public School, Katara Extension, celebrated Grandparents Day with lots of joy and frolic to honour their grandparents. The celebration began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by many electrifying performances by the adorable children. The tiny dancers, who were decked up in vibrant costumes, thrilled the audience with their dance performance. The grandparents relived their childhood with the grandchildren through a scintillating mime titled "Yaadon ke Jharokhon se." The cherry on top was the special role-play by the tiny Sagarites, portrayed as their grandparents. The success of the extravaganza was evident through the joyful smiles of the overwhelmed grandparents. Our director, Shri K. K Dubey Sir, praised the school's efforts in organising the magnificent event and reiterated the significance of values and the abundant love and support that grandparents offer. The principal, Ms Prachi Varma, addressed the audience and thanked the grandparents for their role in upholding our tradition. Ms Arpita Karmalkar, the headmistress, proposed the Vote of Thanks. Indeed, the little Sagarites exhibited a divine garden with their magnificent performances.
