The English Day celebration at SPSKE proved to be a resounding success, offering a vibrant showcase of the talent and dedication of Sagarites from various classes, each focusing on the works of prominent Indian English writers. Students from Class VI captivated the audience with their presentation on R.K. Narayan's timeless story, providing a vivid glimpse into the idyllic world of Malgudi. The talented students from Class VII then shared their insights on Vikram Seth's iconic poem, "The Frog and the Nightingale." They dissected the symbolism, characters, and underlying messages, shedding light on the themes of talent, exploitation, and the pursuit of artistic fulfillment. Class VIII took the stage with their exploration of Rabindranath Tagore's poignant poem, "The Unworthy Gift." Their interpretation delved into the layers of spiritualism and materialism. Class IX presented a captivating analysis of Sudha Murty's enchanting short story, "How I Taught My Grandmother to Read." This heartwarming tale resonated with the audience, showcasing the transformative power of literacy and the beautiful bonds of love and family. The diligent students from Classes X to XII took the audience on a journey through Anees Jung's compelling narrative, "The Lost Spring." Their presentation focused on themes of the lost childhood of the children who suffer from poverty which forces them to live a life of exploitation and the universal quest for a better life. Overall, the English Day celebration at SPSKE was a celebration of creativity, storytelling, and the timeless influence of Indian English writers. World Heritage Day was celebrated by the Sagarites@ SPSKE

"Inheriting honor is transient, but leaving behind a rich heritage is everlasting." To advocate for the appreciation and safeguarding of cultural diversity, the Social Science Department at SPS KE organized the World Heritage Day Celebration. The event featured an inter-house competition, engaging students from classes IX to XII. Each participating house presented a 3D model and accompanying presentation, followed by a spirited Rebuttal round. With 14 enthusiastic participants from each house, the event culminated in Tagore House emerging as the victor. This celebration served to enlighten students about the cultural significance of four distinct heritage sites worldwide, emphasizing the importance of preserving both tangible and intangible aspects of societies passed down through generations. Parents Orientation Session 2024

"Together may we give our children roots to grow and wings to fly.” An orientation session for the Parents of the students studying in VI to VIII and III to V was hosted at Sagar Public School, Katara Extension on April 13, 2024. It was an informative orientation session, offering a deep insight towards the institution’s policies, educational philosophy, and operational systems. The orientation detailed the curriculum framework and also caricatured the new initiatives taken in the school keeping in mind the overall development of the students for the current academic year. The goal was to create a bond between the school and parents. Parents queries regarding, academics, extracurricular opportunities, teaching methodologies etc too were answered. Beginning of New Academic Session 2024-25

Embarking on a new chapter, ready to embrace all that the 2024-25 academic session had to offer. Amidst a backdrop of anticipation and excitement, SPSKE welcomed back its students for the commencement of the 2024-25 academic session. The atmosphere within the school premises was nothing short of vibrant, with every corner exuding a sense of rejuvenation and vitality. As the gates swung open, students from IV to Class XII flooded on April 1, 2024, infusing the campus with their youthful energy and enthusiasm. The senior students took the lead, and the corridors echoed with laughter and chatter as friends reunited and new bonds were formed. On April 3, 2024, the school once again came alive as Nursery to III students joined their older counterparts. A special touch awaited the students as they entered the school gates. Each student was greeted with a traditional tilak on their forehead, symbolizing auspicious beginnings and blessings for the journey ahead. Nestled in a corner of the school quadrangle stood a vibrant selfie booth, adorned with colourful decorations and props. Excited chatter filled the air as students eagerly lined up to capture the momentous occasion. Commencement of ASP (Advanced Sports Program)

The "Unlocking Potential, Inspiring Creativity, and Building Champions" Advanced Sports Program commenced with a robust start on April 1, 2024 at Sagar Public School, Katara Extension. Through its comprehensive approach towards talent identification, skill development, competitive support, professional training, and access to advanced equipment, the program aims to nurture future sports champions while promoting holistic development among students. Students enthusiastically engaged in various sports activities including Basketball, Football, Swimming, Badminton, Judo, Tennis, Cricket, and Skating. These activities catered to diverse interests and provided opportunities for students to explore and excel in their preferred sports disciplines. Participants of the program not only actively participated in sports activities but also relished healthy snacks offered to them, promoting overall well-being and nutrition among the students. The Final Parents Teacher Meeting 2023-24

The Final Parent-Teacher Meeting of the session 2023-24 was conducted on 23 March 2024, fostering fruitful discussions on students' progress and development. Teachers meticulously briefed parents on their wards' conduct and performance across various subjects and classes. The event witnessed a remarkable turnout, with a significant number of parents attending enthusiastically, ranging from Nursery to Class XI students. Their active participation reflected a deep commitment to their children's education. With smiles adorning their faces, students expressed their happiness at the prospect of transitioning to their new classes. Udbhav-The Graduation Ceremony

The Graduation Ceremony, 'Udbhav,' was celebrated on March 2, 2024, at Sagar Public School, Katara Extension, to commemorate the achievements of the young scholars of Class KG II in the session 2023-24. The esteemed Chief Guest for the occasion was Dr. Manoj Vaishnav. Commencing with the blessings of Ma Saraswati, the program unfolded with the enchanting farewell dance by the blooming buds of KG I. Simultaneously, the students of Class I brought joy to their graduating friends through a welcoming song and soothing words, assuring that this transitional journey for the young graduates would be both enjoyable and fulfilling. Certificates were bestowed upon the scholars of Class KG II in recognition of their accomplishments. Spectacular Sports Fiesta for Parents SPSKE organized a 'Parents Sports Fiesta', bringing together parents from Nursery to Class V for an exhilarating day of sportsmanship and camaraderie. The event featured a diverse array of games, including Badminton, Table Tennis, Box Cricket, and Futsal, providing parents with an opportunity to showcase their athletic prowess. The Sports Fiesta not only provided a platform for parents to engage in healthy competition but also fostered a sense of community within the school. The day was filled with moments of skill, teamwork, and friendly rivalry, creating lasting memories for parents.

Basant Panchami Celebration

Basant Panchmi marks the beginning of the joyous season of spring. The young Sagarities, at SPSKE, celebrated this festival to honour Goddess Saraswati, the Goddess of knowledge, music and learning. The day began with a special pooja and children of Class III had the opportunity to start writing in new, decorated copy and pen to begin a new phase of their academic journey. It was celebrated with zeal and enthusiasm as it holds a significance in the lives of students. Students of classes IV and V showcased their creativity in the form of block printing and flower bunches related to the theme 'Hello Spring ' The day ended with the blessings of Maa Saraswati for success and happiness.

Parental Discussion Forum : Parents Pulse

The ‘Parents Pulse’ meeting for the Nursery to KG-II classes was convened to foster communication between parents and educators, allowing a comprehensive discussion of concerns related to the development and well-being of children aged 2.5 to 5 years. The session was led by Dean Madam, Madam Principal and Ms. Arpita, the Headmistress of the Pre-Primary Section. The communication proved to be a valuable platform for parents, teachers, and administrators to come together and discuss the unique needs of children at this stage. The collaborative approach fostered a positive environment, ensuring that parents left with a better understanding of their child's development and equipped with practical solutions to support their growth.
